Links
The
following links are useful sites for San Diego wine, beer,
tourism, and history.
Wineries
The
San
Diego County Vintners Association has much information
on San Diego wine and wineries, plus upcoming events.
The
San Diego
Wine & Culinary Center is a great one-stop shop for
a lot of local San Diego products.
Belle
Marie Winery earns a special recognition as a good bunch
of people and producers of some of the best wine in the county.
Breweries
Green
Flash makes some good local brew! They do tours and tastings,
too. Say hi to our friend and brewmaster, Chuck Silva when
you visit!
Stone
is the hot rising star of San Diego beers. Their new facility
is definitely worth a visit.
Down
the road from us is Karl
Strauss Brewery, also friends of ours. We hear they will
be opening a tasting bar and giving tours in the near future
if all goes well. They also have some nice restaurants and
brewpubs around town.
Tourism
The
San Diego Convention
& Visitors Bureau is the best place to start gathering
information for out-of-town visitors.
Other
good places to visit are the San
Diego Zoo & Wild Animal Park, Balboa
Park, Mission
Bay, a Padres
game, or a Chargers
game.
History
The
San
Diego Historical Society has great resources to find out
about San Diego's native, Spanish, Mexican, and American history.
The
San
Diego Mission is a good place to start learning about
California's famous mission history and legacy. It's also
the first place to make wine in California!
